Prayer Meeting At The Peak!

“You can do more than pray after you have prayed but you cannot do more than pray until you have prayed,” said American preacher, writer, composer, and Gordon College and Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary founder Adoniram Judson Gordon. And rightly so.
Prayer is a fundamental part of the JRAM Burnaby Church. We consider it our lifeline to God. As we commune with Him in our personal prayer time, we get to freely offer to Him our thanks and praise as well as release to Him our burdens and pains.
It comes as no surprise, therefore, that we also regularly meet for collective prayers as a JRAM Burnaby Family. As we engage the Lord in prayer, praise and worship, and intercession with specific goals, we discover the reality of James 5:16, “Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.”
Blanketed by the after-the-rain morning fog, members of our small groups gathered together for our Joint Prayer Meeting at Burnaby Mountain, in Burnaby, British Columbia last June 30. We specifically prayed for the family, media, government, education, economy, arts and culture, and belief systems which are collectively known as the “Seven Spheres of Society.” Because we believe that some battles are won on our knees.
Sponsored by the Joshua Small Group, we also took the opportunity to pray for, and celebrate with, two of our birthday celebrators.
We hope to have you join us in one of our future prayer gatherings. “We should not stop gathering together with other believers, as some of you are doing. Instead, we must continue to encourage each other even more as we see the day of the Lord coming” (Hebrews 10:25, GWT) – Leonida Suson.
