Our Awesome YWAM Experience

Our Awesome YWAM Experience
By Arianna and Pia
Youth with a Mission (YWAM) was an experience we never expected, but totally loved! Because we got the chance to serve the Lord in ways we didn’t think we could.
At first, we were frightened to step into the unknown, but with God’s love and grace, He helped us step out of our comfort zone. He changed our perspective – from the people we met, the lessons we learned, to the overall growth we experienced, whether it was with ourselves or with Him.
The YWAM week was such a highlight for the both of us, especially because we got to interact with people we wouldn’t think we would if it wasn’t for this experience. Just on the second day, we were told to share a lunch with a homeless person. At first, we were both so nervous to even say hi to one. But once we did, we had no regrets doing it. It was so nice hearing their stories, and seeing they’re people, no different from us.
From the incredible people we got to meet, there also came lessons like from the Buddhist and Sikh Temples we visited. It made us learn more about their culture, understand their perspective in life, and gain so much more knowledge about them. Because of these encounters, we also got the chance to grow more in Christ. We realized that there so many more

It made us learn more about their culture, understand their perspective in life, and gain so much more knowledge about them. Because of these encounters, we also got the chance to grow more in Christ. We realized that there so many more ways to serve Him, and we are glad we got to do them.
Overall, it was such a blessing for us. Our biggest lesson is that with God, nothing is impossible, and that because of Him, we can do all things – even go out of our comfort zone! We also realized that God is so good, He never fails to amaze us. From the little things we did, like cleaning the house of the homeless or bringing the elderly out for ice cream, it may seem small to us, but it was such a big act we got to do because we did it all for the glory of God.
YWAM is an exceptional experience. We learned more about God, and He revealed more of His heart to us. Truly an eye-opening event that we will remember for life.
We made so much memories and learned so many lessons, we would like others to experience it as well. It is one life-enriching event truly worth joining.
